What is Heightmap Studio
A terrain and track editor for motocross, BMX and mountain bike games, made by Dr. PhDeez. With it you can:
- Generate terrain, capture it from the real world or import your own heightmap
- Sculpt with ten brushes, including GPU erosion
- Draw paths, path forms, channels and bumps on separate layers: your original heightmap is never overwritten
- Paint textures and place objects, vegetation and sky
- See everything in a live 3D preview while you edit
- Work at real-world meter scale with true 16-bit heightmaps

What you need
- Heightmap Studio (Windows 10/11 64-bit, Linux experimental)
- Unity 2022.3 with HDRP
- The TrackDayR Track Tool: https://tdrmods.com/posts/track-mod-tool

How to use
1. Download and install Heightmap Studio from heightmapstudio.com. The installer is not signed: the website explains how to unblock it.
2. In Heightmap Studio open Plugins and press Install on TrackDayR.
3. Follow the plugin steps and pick your track settings.
4. Press Build: the track is built in the TrackDayR Track Tool, ready to export as usual.
Plugin updates arrive inside the app, no reinstall needed.
